Had a great visit this weekend with Danna and Basil, both old, old friends from Atlanta. They had cameras so took MUCH better pics, but here's the ones we managed to shoot.

Celebrity sightings!

Who knew DC could attract so many celebrities in one day?!

The show "24" is being filmed in DC this week, and our friend Rob Kimmer was there to capture the action. Thanks for the great photos, Rob!

Then last night, as we were driving by the Courtyard Marriott that is attached to our building, JP recognized another celebrity getting out of a car. Rob and I hopped out of our car, and Rob bravely asked him if he was indeed on the show "Chuck". Sure enough--he was!

There was also a Mystery Celebrity with him, who I know that I know, but didn't get his name. All I know is that is African-American, was in movies with both Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx, and that he is about mid-fifties. The IMDB search is on...

Comings and Goings---where in world are we?

Over the last several weeks, we've been pursuing very different activities than normal, some requiring "exotic apparel!

First, I (Sarah) had an International Celebration at work. I work with people, both staff and patients, from almost every continent, so I knew this would be FABULOUS! Everyone brought a dish, dressed in their native-wear, and can you say DANCE! My friend, Alemush (pictured), gave me the Ethiopian dress and scarf to wear and to keep!

The weekend before last, we decided to take in the Fall Foliage and be "outdoorsy", so we took our friends Amanda and Elizabeth, and Lewis on an all day excursion to Skyline Drive. Lewis was GREAT in the car, and even got to hike 3 miles with no problem (then there was me!) I'll be posting our pics once we get them.

And wait, I know I'm jumping around, but we also had a big birthday party for Jonathon at the beginning of the month. We ended doing a Murder Mystery dinner at our house. The theme was kind of Hollywood, so everyone got to dress up in their finest evening attire.

This past weekend, we attended a party at Jonathon's boss' home....1 1/2 hours from DC, out in the country. BEAUTIFUL! Our friend is taking a photography class, so she took some nice shots of us.

All in all, we've been trying to be adventurous and enjoy the beautiful areas and people surrounding us.

The First Price Edition (Addition!)

Thought we'd try this whole blog movement. We seem to always be taking pictures, and what better way to share them, and all the oddities that happen in the Nation's Capital than this venue.

The biggest news in the Price family is our new addition: we adopted Lewis Tucker Price from the NY Ave Humane Shelter 1 1/2 weeks ago. He is a two-year old Beagle that has proved to be better than we could have even imagined. Whoever had him before treated him well and trained him to respond to NO, SIT, DOWN and they potty-trained him too! A ready-to-go dog...i love it!



After doing some research, I think he may actually be a BAGLE (cutest name ever!), which is actually a Beagle-Basset Hound mix. He does seem very long and low for a beagle. Whatever he is, we're having a blast with him and enjoying our first taste of parenthood!
